We at Proper Attire want this site to be a safe and private place for users. We will do our part by not requiring you to provide any information at all to use most sections and features of this Website. In turn, you can do your part by reading this policy and taking the steps outlined below.

There are certain actions and areas of this site or the ordering process that will require you to provide personal information, such as:

placing an order for Proper Attire� brand products
sending an e-mail question regarding Proper Attire brand products
inquiring about a previously placed order
signing up for or opting into the Proper Attire brand email list

Respect of Customer Order Confidentiality

We recognize that you have an interest in the confidentiality of your order — from checkout until delivery. We respect the privacy of every customer's order in the following ways:

Your order will be shipped in a plain envelope or box. No reference to Proper Attire or any other safe-sex related product will be visible on the outside of our packaging.
Your credit card bill will be processed securely (see "Financial Information You Choose to Provide" below) and will simply have an entry for "Proper At. Accessories", with no reference to condoms or any other safe-sex related products.
We will not sell or distribute your email, phone number, or any other kind of personal information you provide when you purchase our products to any individual or entity outside of our organization except as stated herein or with your permission.

Personal Information You Choose to Provide

In order to gain access to certain areas of our site or to use certain features, you may choose to provide personal information. The information you provide to allow us to process and deliver your order — name, delivery address, preferred contact information, and payment information (such as credit card information) — is considered private. If you do submit such information to us, we will use that information for the purposes for which it was submitted, such as processing your order and delivering it in a timely fashion. We may also use this information in other ways, such as to contact you by email about new promotions or to send you any important product information you need to know. If you send us an email or provide your email address to us, we may keep it on file as part of our continuous efforts to improve customer satisfaction, but we will not share it with third parties except as stated herein or with your permission.

If you sign up to receive additional information about the Proper Attire brand, your information will be used by us to contact you regarding future product promotions.

If you purchase our products as a gift or request that we send them directly to a third-party, we also gather information on the person who will receive the shipment you send (e.g., that person's name and address) and we will retain a record of your purchase. Your name and billing address will be revealed on the packing slip enclosed with the order to the gift recipient or third party.

You should be aware that we use third-party vendors to provide services on this site and in our offline business operations. The information that you submit on this site may be provided to those vendors on a confidential basis so that those vendors can provide services (such as processing credit card transactions and fulfilling your order) on our behalf. Financial Information You Choose to Provide

Proper Attire collects, transmits, and stores personal and financial information of customers through secure means and channels. If you choose to place an order, you will have to provide your credit card billing information. If you place an order, the credit card information that you provide at the time of order is used only to process your order and will not be used for any other purpose.

Your credit card billing information is processed in a manner that complies with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. As your credit card information is collected and transferred over the Internet to our processing center, it is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, the industry standard security technology that is designed to protect sensitive information.

Information Automatically Collected and Stored

As is true of most Web sites, we automatically collect and store some information about your computer and your visit and store it in log files. This information includes information such as your computer's (or your ISP's) Internet Protocol (IP) address (this is not your e-mail address); the domain from which you access the Internet (e.g., "verizon.net" or "Stanford.edu"); the name, version, and specifications of your computer and your computer's operating system; the Internet address of the Web site, if any, from which you came to our site; the date and time you arrived at our site and how long you spent on the site; and which pages you visited.

We use this information to formulate statistics (possibly with the help of outside experts) that show the number of visitors to the different sections of our site and to help us make our site more useful to visitors. Use of Cookies

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons)

We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons) that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not link the information gathered through clear gifs with other personal data that you provide to us.

Online Advertisements

From time to time, we may run online advertisements on third-party Web sites to attract visitors to our site or to alert our supporters to special opportunities. We do not currently have plans to contact you once your order is fulfilled, unless you have specifically opted-in to receive additional information by email or you request assistance regarding a previously placed order. Further, if you need to update your information and have previously ordered directly from Proper Attire, you will have a chance to make changes to your address when you place a new order. Otherwise, if you wish to review the contact information we have on file for you or inform us how you wish your contact information to be used, please contact our staff (see below).
